Sex, party & lies
Reviewed in the United States on June 14, But he certainly is a lot more. He has high morals, a terrific sense of loyalty and is romantic to boot. Special mention must go to Pixy who is his natural gorgeous self, he is a cutie and the Polly Parton. Oh, without spoiling anything let me just say you are in for a treat meeting this little sparkler with his colourful language.
The lighter humorous element comes to the fore and works incredibly well and the reason for the extra half a star, I thoroughly enjoyed the chuckles and outright laughter from some of the hilarious scenes and terrific expressions in the story. Throw in the fun banter between the characters and it deserves the extra praise. This is a great romantic comedy where the humour is natural and the romance is passionate and steamy. I recommend it to everyone. Top critical review.
Reviewed in the United States on June 21, I wanted to stop reading about a third of the way through but pushed on to see whatever Eddie's big deception was. Lyric's background was contradictory. Her parents were never around due to her dad's band so she wants nothing to do with that lifestyle, although she benefits financially from it as seen by her home that she let her dad pay for.
She dated a guy in a band, even performed on stage with him, until he cheated on her. I also felt like many of the things Lyric accidentally said out loud around Eddie or said to herself when she didn't know he was eavesdropping were not believable dialogue. After Lyric finds out Eddie lied to her, he goes to great lengths to get her back.

A Goat, a Parrot, a Puppy and a Sexy lier. Seriously Eddie and Lyric are a perfect match with his straight lace way about him and her funny quirkier way about her BUT you can sense they are both hiding something and boy what a deceiver it is for both of them. It was love a first site and tingle at first touch for both Eddie and Lyri with a little goat names Pixy that brought them together.
He hurt her pretty good.
They say though. I am NOT so sure this time. Like I said earlier. The dynamics between these two is off the charts funny and loving at the same time!!
I hope we get a Jase and Paisley book!! Wink wink Showing 0 comments. There was a problem loading comments right now. The truth is Meeting Eddie was a chance meeting But when Eddie's secrets come out Can she forgive him? I loved the way K. Osborn wrote this book You go on this journey with them Coming from a family in the spotlight she found herself craving anonymity and a career with out all the hype of her name.
Now she find love in flowers, but their is a loneliness in her heart. A chance meeting and a goat bring her and Eddie together, filling that hole. Lyric and Eddie share a passion that is pure but filled with secrets, when those secrets come out it could ruin the bliss they hold so dear. A cursing parrot and passion that sets the s on fire this book is worthy of the Cocky Hero Club series.
One person found this helpful. I have loved diving into the Cocky Hero world with glimpses of old character favorites as secondary characters in all-new stories. It feels like my favorite characters are never going away and at the same time, I get to find new characters to love. However, this story? Yeah, this story is so much more than I expected.

It had me from the very beginning. Considering that the story started with Valentine's Day at a floral shop, and considering I am a floral deer and know VERY well how insane that holiday is, I had to laugh. Moving on to the introduction to Pixie and I about lost my mind at the cuteness. Love that goat. What really sold me though was watching Lyric and Eddie and their relationship.
I felt her fears and I felt why Eddie would be drawn to her. The first part of the story was told in Lyric's point of view and the second part was told in Eddie's.
When Eddie goes all in to make things right for what he has done, it was game over. That man won me over. He is one of the swooniest book boyfriends that I have ever read. I hope with everything that this author continues this series and gives the secondary characters their stories as well. Jace made up for his screw-up in an epic way, and the scene at the end with Paisley, Yeah, I need more of that.
Soren also intrigued me. I highly recommend this book.
There's crazy animals, flowers, family, friends, music, laughter and love. Unfortunately, there's also heartbreak, lies and secrets, but these are soon forgiven as Eddie sets out to prove his love to Lyric and beg for her forgiveness.
Sexy liar (part 1 club mix)
I enjoyed how the story is told in two parts, so we first get Lyric and then we swap over to Eddie when his secrets and lies are revealed. There's hints throughout the first part that he's keeping something from Lyric, but I was way off the mark when I thought I had it figured out lol. I love it when a story surprises me. This one is inspired by Cocky Bastard. You don't have to have the Cocky Bastard to enjoy this one. Lyric is a fun down to earth girl. She runs a florist store. Her Dad is a famous a musician and her mom is his manager so growing up she isn't feel that they were around enough.
She has a great voice but wants nothing to do with being a famous musician. She meets Eddie, who she calls hotshot. He has a good job but doesn't give a much details up front. Eddie is a nice guy but he has a lot of secrets. I liked these together.
When he's secrets come out, I was worried that that would be the end of Lyric and Eddie. It had a bit of a slow start and as a reader you can tell and almost cringe knowing that there is a secret and it is going to be a doozy for both Lyric and Eddie.
All in all, Hotshot Deceiver is about deceit and what lengths you will go to make up for it, I dug it and give it 4. This will be another favorite of mine for sure.
I loved the premise of this story and how hard Eddie had to work to get Lyric to give him another shot.
